DSTAR Remote Access HowTo….
Some of the things I’ve figured out running homebrew dstar repeaters using ircddbGateway.
Remote Access
To enable remote access, you need to set three things in the ircddbgateway config file.
-
remoteEnabled=1
-
remotePassword=notrealpasswd
-
remotePort=10022 <- default port number, could be anything
remotecontrold
Once remote access is enabled, you can then use a program called remotecontrold to send link / unlink commands from the command line to ircddbgatewayd. To enable this program to work, you need to create a file in your home directory called ~/.Remote Control (yes that is a space between the Remote and Control) The file should have three lines.
address=127.0.0.1 port=10022 password=noterealpasswd
Commands
remotecontrold R3PEAT_B link never REF001_C remotecontrold R3PEAT_B unlink remotecontrold STN090_B drop all remotecontrold STN090_B drop W1AW
