I upgraded to the RC version of Win7 today. I did the hack to “upgrade” the beta version to the RC, I just didn’t feel like jumping through the hopes of doing a clean install. This time it had nothing todo with re-installing applications, mainly I didn’t want to mess up the dual-boot I have on the box. (This is my main Ubuntu desktop as well) In the end it didn’t matter, Windows 7 still ate my GRUB MBR. (Big thank you to who ever wrote this wiki article on the Ubuntu site. It worked like a charm)
I’m still trying to find something different with the RC, but chances are I won’t probably. I am really only using it to have a Windows installation handy if something comes up. I just don’t use it very much anymore. I may just install Virtualbox and wipe the full install completely.
Back from lunch at Red Robin. We seemed to have picked up another Transformer though….
This weekend being Mother’s day, we gave Rosie the weekend off. She is off with her girlfriends up on Camino Island for the weekend. So it is just Isaac and me, which has been fun. Yesterday was a pretty full day, we went downtown and rode the train, had lunch as PCC and then Isaac had his nap. When he got up, we messed around the house for a while, then went to have dinner and then played outside until it was bed time. He actually went to bed early, so I guess Daddy wore him out.
I tried to get some work done last night after putting Isaac to bed, but was totally blocked. Our stupid VPN would allow me to connect for about 10 minutes and then drop me. Over and over and over again. I eventually gave up in disgusted and watched a little TV before going to bed. I’m just glad I wasn’t oncall this weekend.
Today has been very lazy. We didn’t get up until after 7:30 or closer to 8am. We’ve played Transformers, drew/stamped a bunch of stuff, played legos and did some cleaning of my office. Isaac is currently transforming one of his harder Transformers, but I see that it lunch time. Better get the little guy some food.
