I have to pay $10 more a month for my broadband because I don’t want their TV or phone service. Their cheapest phone service is $12 a month. Well screw them. I’m just going to pay the extra $10 and steal their damn TV service. I’ll just not watch it a couple days a month to make it come out even.

Forgot to mention it, but we had snow on the ground again this morning. It is quickly disappearing now, but it was enough to completely cover the lawn and it caused a whole accident on the 520 floating bridge. (Rosie sat in one spot for like two hours this morning. Crazy ass weather….

I’m back from my weekend diving in Canada. The drive up was pretty un-eventful, I listen to a audio book most of the way and it really made the driving part go quick. I normally don’t like audio books, but for long drives they are great. Saturday we did two dives, the first is the required sea lyon dive, which I’m just getting bored with. This is more or less what diving with sea lyons is like….

This is Balash, kind of image he is a ball and the sea lyons are dogs. I’m the smart guy floating in the back ground on the right. The second and third dive were much better. We did a couple wall dives and saw a ton of critters. The whole weekend was really nice, I just missed Rosie and Isaac. Next year I think Isaac will be old enough to make the trip.

Yep, Rosie and I had a $300 dinner last night and it was good. I typically get annoyed when going out to eat costs so much, because most of the time it isn’t worth it. But not last night, damn it was good. My post holiday party was last night, so I decided we’d go out some place nice downtown. I have never actually been to The Met before, but I have been to its sister restaurant a bunch of times. Other then the typical crowded-ness which happens on Saturday night, everything was really good.
So you might be wondering how you spend $300 on a dinner for two? Well we didn’t do it with wine, we actually only spent like $40 on drinks. (Two glasses of wine and a couple cocktails while waiting for the table) Actually main contribuating factor was the $85 seafood sampler, which is technically suppose to serve four people, but was just amazing. This is saying quite a bit coming from me, because I don’t typically like seafood. But this was just amazing stuff, I really liked the tiger prawns and maine lobster; Rosie did her best on the Alaskan scallops and dungeness crab claws.
It wouldn’t be fair to not mention the steak. I had a new york like normal, but this was some special aged cut which was just to die for. Rosie who doesn’t like steak and likes ones that are still red and bleeding (if you are going to have a good steak, you shouldn’t cook the thing so it tastes like shoe leather) ended up eating quite a bit of it. They also have amazing bake potatoes, so good that you don’t want to put a bunch of stuff on them.
Anyhow we had such a good time at dinner, we pretty much missed the party. It was like 9:30PM before we got out of there, so we just came home.
