So the camping trip wasn’t the best time I’ve ever had on vacation. We were late getting out of town on Monday, so we only made it as far as Port Angles. (It is a 5-6 hour drive to Neah Bay) So we grabbed a hotel in Port Angles and set out the next morning. Luckily we hit Safeway before leaving to stock up on supplies, because Neah Bay had almost nothing.
The “camp ground” turned out to be a large field with a few picnic tables. It was right on the water, which was nice, but had almost no trees, which was bad. The wind was really strong the whole time. All of that was doable, we even got the camp setup pretty quickly. But then Isaac melted down and wouldn’t eat anything we cooked. (Little kids don’t like change and nothing was quite like normal for him) So lack of food and not a great nap turned the Little Man into a cranky butt and that causes Rosie to get all cranky. Which leaves me, the one person who doesn’t like camping so much being the one trying to cheer everybody up. Yea!
Needless to say things went down hill from there and we headed out first thing the next morning and drove straight through to get home. We did get some very cute pictures and I’ll post them later when I snag the SD card from Rosie.

got to port angles – to late to make Neah Bay tonite-hotel time
Just got on the ferry for Kingston – hope we make it 2 the camp ground before dark
Tomorrow we head to Neah Bay to spend the week camping. If your curious where this is, take a look at any map of Washington, find the point that is farthest West and North and that is Neah Bay. It’ll probably take us half a day to just drive out there. In preparation for it I am BBQing spare ribs for dinner tonight. They have been on there for about 2 hours now and should be done pretty soon. I know it will never taste right being cooked on a gas grill with no smoke, but they should still be pretty good.
I also took my fan crazy (as in it is making me crazy with all the fan noise) macbook to the Apple store this morning. I really hate dealing with stores in these situations, I know they can’t trust what people say and must diagnose it themselves. But it still annoys me. So of course the guy has to hear it himself, but it only really starts happening when the CPU usage goes up. So it finally occurred to me to hit a terminal window and have the shell print YES a bunch of times. This worked, the fan starting whining and all was good. So hopefully in a couple weeks I’ll have it back and fixed.
